Tanks in the Great War were used to overcome barbed wired obstacles and easily tear through trenches although they often broke down, got stuck and overheated.
They were originally developed from framing tractors, Frederick Simms farther developed the idea into what was known as ‘motor-war car’ in 1916. Today they move much faster, they have improved guns for better long distance shooting and are much more mobile.
